Graphic Designer
Irasema Quezada was born in north Mexico but was raised in Alabama. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and her Master of Fine Arts from The University of Alabama. Her art practice and research interests include social justice, immigration, and mental health. She regularly teaches workshops and lectures on her research in book arts, letterpress printing, hand papermaking, and graphic design.
Quezada also has over a decade of experience in graphic design specializing in creative-direction, branding, and typography. She has worked with large institutions, small startups, and local non-profits. Her work has been recognized with several design awards including a gold and silver Birmingham Advertising Federation ADDYs.
