Alabama holds approximately 15% of all potable water in the United States, and it has a river delta so ecologically rich it is called “America's Amazon.” However, most Alabama schoolchildren are not aware of it.
The Alabama Water Institute recently participated in the Scientific Research and Education Network, or SciREN. Marine science graduate students created SciREN to share their research with school children.
